Written For Christ uses the name Our Little Church, to show what you can do. Our Little Church is just a sample of what you could build here. Our Little Church does not exist, except in our imagination church.
Prerequisite:
These instructions assume you have some knowledge of HTML. There is some PHP and JavaScript used within this web-site, but we assume you have no knowledge of these dynamic programming languages.
Requirements:
- Laptop or tablet The Laptop or tablet will be used to write the code on.
- HTML Editor The HTML editor will be installed on your laptop or tablet and should also be able to handle PHP and JavaScript. Adobe DreamWeaver is one option. If you like the basic concept of this website, you may get away with something like the free NotePad++
- Smart Phone The Smart Phone will be used to test what your coding looks like on mobile devices.
- Photo Editor Somebody on your church web team will need to have a photo editor. The photo editor will be installed on your laptop or tablet and will be used to do such things as: Reduce the size of the image, add text to the image, or other modifications as you see fit.
- PFD Forms We assume you will want some forms created in *.pdf, thus the member can fill in the spaces, but not allowed to modify the wording of the document and forms. You probable want to select Adobe Acrobat for the *.pdf forms.
- Web Host Provider You will need a Web Host Provider, which your web domain name points to and your code resides at.
Note: Since your church is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization, you can purchase Adobe products such as DreamWeaver and PhotoShop at reduced prices from places like TechSoup.org
